We, CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA (referred to hereinafter as CEWE), are delighted that you have visited our website and are interested in entering our CEWE photography competition.
In our data protection declaration we would like to tell you about the information we at CEWE keep on you when you visit our website and take part in the photography competition, and how we use this information.
1. Capture of non-personal data
When you visit the CEWE website, general information is collected automatically (i.e. information not associated with your registration). The web servers used save the following information as standard:
- the name of your Internet service provider
- the website from which you came to our website
- the web pages of ours that you visit
- your IP address.
This information is not personal data. It is thus not possible for us to assign the captured data to a specific individual. The information is analyzed on an anonymized basis. It is used exclusively for statistical purposes and to improve the attractiveness, content and functionality of our website. Wherever data is passed on to external service providers, we ensure compliance with the data protection regulations by technical and organizational means.
2. Collection, processing and transmission of personal data
We only collect personal data to the extent that, and for the purpose for which, you have made the data available (e.g. during registration for the photography competition, by completing forms or sending emails, by ordering products or services or by submitting queries or requesting materials). In particular, this personal data is used for the purpose of advertising or market research only if you have given your explicit consent. Your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties without your consent where this is required. Personal data will only be forwarded to government authorities and agencies that have a right to view this information only under the terms of any relevant legislation or if we are obliged to do so as a result of a court ruling.
You can withdraw your consent with effect for the future at any time.
You can do this informally by sending a letter to CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA, Meerweg 30-32, 26133 Oldenburg, Germany or by sending an email at any time to firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Data retention
Personal data that you have made available to us for one of the purposes described in Section 2 above is retained with a valid up-to-date status for the applicable statutory retention periods and then deleted.
4. Google Analytics
By using this website you accept that the data collected on you will be processed by Google as described above for the purpose described above.
There are also plug-ins of the social network Facebook on our website. These are operated exclusively by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (Facebook). The plug-ins are indicated on our website by the Facebook logo or the ""Like"" button. When you visit a page on our website that has one of these plug-ins, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. Consequently, the content of the plug-in is sent to your browser, which integrates it into the web page displayed. As a result, Facebook is notified that you have visited our website. If you are logged in to your Facebook account during your visit to our website, Facebook can associated the website visit with this account. When you interact with plug-ins, for example by clicking the ""Like"" button or leaving a comment, this information is sent directly to Facebook and stored there. If you want to prevent this kind of data transfer, just log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
To find out the purpose and extent of Facebook's data collection and how the data is processed and used there, and to obtain information on your rights in this connection and settings you can use to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook's data use policy (http://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php).
CEWE uses the latest technical and organizational measures to prevent the data you make available from being manipulated either by chance or intentionally, lost, destroyed or accessed by unauthorized persons. When your personal data is collected and processed, the information is encrypted before being transferred to prevent it from being misused by third parties. Our security measures are constantly being updated to keep pace with technical developments.
8. Right to information
You have the right to request information at any time on the data stored about you, including the origin and recipients of this data and the purpose for which it is kept. All you have to do is submit a written request or send an email to the email address mentioned in Section 2 or to the data protection officer (see below for the address and email address).
If we introduce new products or services or change Internet procedures, or if the Internet technology or IT security technology is further developed, this data protection declaration will be updated. We therefore reserve the right to change, add to or delete from the declaration at any time, as required – even without prior warning. We will publish the change here. You should therefore view this website regularly in order to keep abreast of the latest changes to the data protection declaration.
10. Questions about data protection
If you have further questions about data protection and the processing of your personal data, you can contact us directly or our data protection officer at any time.
